These other workshops I did it to try them, to know if I would like to work with it or not. While I think it can be useful having a basic knowledge of it I don't think I will keep going to learn them.
Other workshops I have done was about working in After FX, compositing and animating with it.
This was a project done with the collaboration of the Royal Academy of Music. You can find all the work I've done going to: Animation Studies Blog-Second year animation UWE- Second Semester, or using this link on this link http://giacomofilippo.weebly.com/ram-project.html .
After the CG workshops I decided to try modelling one of my characters from my comic books. The most challenge part has been the head because I was modeling it in a different way, and also the ears caused me some problems. However for being one of my first models I'm quite happy with the final result. This story is from one of my personal comic-book projects, this is from GhostSaviours. From some sketches for some pages of the comic I decided to turn them in a storyboard for a possible sequence animated. This one is set near the beginning of the story when Mat meets for the first time Jessica, while he was running away from a Dark Ghost named Baron Semaj. Animatic Because my interest to be a storyboard artist I started to do some storyboards also from other films. Here I tried to do the storyboard of the film "The Seventh Seal" The first part where the templar meets for the first time Death.
In the other CG workshops we kept going with our human shape model. After having given to it a basic model shape we started to do the rigging so that we could animate it eventually. We started putting in the bones and later some external circles connected to these bones. The last part applying other bones put me in difficulties, making me think that the rigging part in a 3D model is not for me.
I'm starting to use the sculpting program called Mudbox, that has really similar commands and interface to Maya. My first try gave me this creepy head.
