RAM Project
Final video
This is another external project that I took part. A short animation of 90-120 seconds, created with another animator MA student Ruth Patchett and a composer from Royal Academy of Music, Sean Salamon. a short animation of 90-120 seconds. Using the word wanderlust as theme, we had to animate with Blender simple 3D shapes that gave the sensation of the meaning of that word. We used a 3D Dome animation technique because it will be projected inside a planetarium.

After a workshop using Blender my other mate preferred to use 3D Maya so we continued the project with Autodesk MAYA, downloading an extra program who inserts the Dome camera in MAYA. At the beginning I was using the colours red and blue and mixing them taking different shapes, inspired by Rorschach inkblot test and the lava lamp's movements. After some view test in the Birmingham's Planetarium with the others, I changed the colours matching them with the colours lights done by Ruth in the first part of the animation.
Because Ruth was really busy with her other 3D project I took the responsibility of the final composition in After Effect. It had been useful for me, because I could experiment with the program learning some useful function for the final montage that can be useful for future projects.
